Building and scaling successful teams has never been easy, and talent shortages caused by the Great Resignation have only made it more challenging. How can firms find and hire the right people? How can technology elevate efficiencies and make daily work more fulfilling? And how can leaders better support their teams?

To answer these questions and more, Sourcescrub's Co-founder and CEO, Tyler Fair, recently sat down with the folks at Connection Builders and their Branch Out podcast, which helps middle-market professionals connect, grow, and excel in their careers. During the interview, Tyler shared how he turned his personal struggle developing a direct sourcing function into a successful bootstrapped business supported by leading private equity firm, Francisco Partners.

Along the way, he's learned some valuable lessons, like investing in hunger over experience and "firing himself" from as many jobs as possible. "Set the goal line and be their cheerleader and help them when they feel like they're not going to be able to hit it, but get out of their way and let them go," is the way Tyler sums up his leadership philosophy.

To hear more from Tyler, including what he's discovered about managing global teams and the advice he would give his former self, listen to the full podcast episode.
